Re-Called Sunday, May 3, 2026

This morning we will look together at Jesus’ third appearance to his disciples on the shores of the Sea of Galilea, particularly at the restoration of Simon Peter. Three times Jesus asks Peter, “Do you love me?” The third time is especially painful to Peter recalling his threefold denial of Jesus. Jesus wants Peter to know that the full extent of his sin and failure is known and forgiven and that he is completely restored as a follower of Jesus, leader of the disciples, and shepherd of Jesus’ sheep.
