In morning worship, we have been walking through Psalms 3-10 in a series called “How to Fall Apart Without Falling Apart.” So far, these Psalms have included cries to God, complaints about the speaker’s situation, and professions of continuing trust. Psalm 8 has a completely different tone: “LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.” This morning we’ll look at this declaration of praise tucked in the middle of our series of Psalms of Lament. How does this Psalm keep God in the picture when the scenes are dark?
