The parable of the Good Samaritan is one of the most well-known stories of the Bible. We know the story as a challenge to be good neighbors and that the neighbor is the one in need. This is true, but the setting of the story makes it about so much more. It is a story of our need for God’s mercy and how Jesus came to bring God’s healing to us.
