Psalm 9 is an unusual Psalm of complaint. While the presentation of the speaker’s troubles is clearly present, it is set in the context of praising God for who he is and what he has done. In this way the speaker of Psalm 9 sets us an example of how to magnify God in our perspective while living in the real world.
