Our morning series, Easter People, began with Pope John Paul II reflecting on the angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary that she would give birth to the Messiah. This morning we will begin with that scripture and walk with Mary to the foot of the cross. Her journey is filled with wonder, awe, and confusion, yet her faith and commitment to Jesus remain to and through the most baffling and heart-breaking day. In our wonder, confusion, and heart-break Jesus remains faithful even when we can’t see God’s purpose or plan.
